Lian Li LANCOOL 216 Black (LANCOOL 216X)

Large front fans and a conventional tower layout, with configuration-specific mounting details.

The decision

LANCOOL 216 Black is a strong candidate for a build organized around its two 160 mm front fans. Use the supplied airflow arrangement as a starting point, then decide whether air or liquid cooling fits your workload. The different motherboard and cooling positions need the exact manual, especially when installing more hardware near the bottom.

Consider it when

  • A roomy tower build with an air cooler within the installed 180.5 mm limit.
  • A front or roof 240, 280 or 360 mm radiator after a full clearance check.

Look again when

  • An E-ATX motherboard at or above 280 mm width.
  • A PSU assumed to fit at exactly the manufacturer’s under-220 mm boundary.

The checks that can change your choice

Keep the PSU boundary strict

The manufacturer specifies PSU length under 220 mm. Include modular connectors and cable routing rather than approving a 220 mm unit from the nominal number alone.

Do not count overlapping positions twice

Bottom 240 mm radiator support has layout restrictions. Review motherboard position, GPU and any lower fans together; separate mounting lists do not prove that every listed device can be installed simultaneously.

Published specifications

Mesh mid-tower; two 160 mm front fans; GPU clearance 392 mm; air cooler clearance 180.5 mm.

Front/top: 240/280/360 mm; bottom: 240 mm with layout restrictions. E-ATX board width must be under 280 mm. Manufacturer says PSU length under 220 mm; leave cable room and treat the boundary as a manual check.
