Processor · MODEL NOTES
Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus
Twenty-four hybrid cores for an LGA1851 machine with substantial CPU work to do.
The 270K Plus combines eight performance cores with sixteen efficient cores and twenty-four threads. Compare it with the 265K and 285K using a representative project; aggregate core counts and peak clocks cannot tell you the completion time or the best-value complete system.
Consider it when
- A DDR5 workstation running parallel applications that support the platform well.
- A supported LGA1851 upgrade after verifying that the CPU is the limiting component.
Look again when
- A gaming-only premium with no supporting evidence or a compact chassis unable to accommodate the cooling plan.
The checks that can change your choice
Use its own power and firmware requirements
Intel lists 250 W maximum turbo power and LGA1851 for this exact Plus model. Confirm the board BIOS entry and plan sustained-load cooling, rather than carrying over 250K Plus assumptions.
Check the manufacturer document ↗Memory speed needs a whole-system check
Match DIMM type, capacity, population and motherboard qualification. A CPU memory-speed specification does not certify every retail overclocking kit or every high-capacity configuration.
Published specifications
24 cores / 24 threads; boost up to 5.5 GHz; LGA1851; DDR5; 250 W maximum turbo power; integrated graphics.
