Processor · MODEL NOTES
Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus
An eighteen-core Core Ultra 5 whose model name should not be confused with the 245K.
The 250K Plus has six performance cores and twelve efficient cores, with eighteen threads. Compare it with the 245K and 265K through your actual application mix. More efficient cores can matter for suitable parallel jobs, but do not establish a fixed gaming improvement.
Consider it when
- A new LGA1851 build with applications that can use the specified hybrid-core configuration.
- An existing supported Core Ultra desktop whose CPU workload justifies an upgrade.
Look again when
- A DDR4 or LGA1700 reuse plan, or an upgrade made without checking application scaling.
The checks that can change your choice
Verify the Plus entry in the BIOS list
Intel specifies LGA1851, DDR5 and 159 W maximum turbo power for the 250K Plus. Check exact board support; a firmware version for the earlier 245K is not sufficient evidence.
Check the manufacturer document ↗Separate accelerator support from marketing totals
Confirm that your software can use the CPU, GPU or NPU path you intend. Adding their advertised capabilities together does not predict one application’s processing rate.
Published specifications
18 cores / 18 threads; boost up to 5.3 GHz; LGA1851; DDR5; 159 W maximum turbo power; integrated graphics.

LGA1851 requires an Intel 800-series board with a BIOS supporting the exact CPU; memory overclock profiles are not guaranteed.
