MSI B760 GAMING PLUS WIFI
A DDR5 Intel tower without paying for unused storage expansion
The B760 GAMING PLUS WIFI is an LGA1700 DDR5 option for a full-size build needing Wi-Fi 6E, 2.5 Gb Ethernet and two M.2 drives. It is distinct from the DDR4 PRO B760M-A alternative: CPU support for both generations does not make their RAM interchangeable. Consider Z790 for a specific supported feature or connection rather than expecting the larger chipset name to improve every workload.
Consider it when
- An ATX LGA1700 list with new DDR5 memory and a two-drive plan.
Look again when
- You want to reuse DDR4 or need more onboard NVMe positions.
The checks that can change your choice
Separate NVMe expansion from SATA M.2 reuse
The second M.2 socket supports SATA as well as PCIe, but a SATA M.2 drive disables SATA8. M2_1 includes support for longer 22110 drives; verify the standoff position and heatsink fit for the actual SSD rather than using socket count alone.
Prove the complete platform
Find the exact processor in this board’s CPU support list and compare its required BIOS with the installed version. Then check the exact memory kit, occupied slots and front-panel connectors. A matching socket or a published maximum memory capacity is only part of that check.

Check the manufacturer CPU support list and installed BIOS version before buying. Matching socket and DDR generation do not prove CPU support, memory-profile stability, power-delivery suitability, or PCIe/M.2 lane availability.
