MSI PRO B760M-A WIFI DDR4
Keep DDR4 while adding wireless and faster wired networking
The PRO B760M-A WIFI DDR4 is useful when retaining a matched DDR4 kit still makes economic sense, but the older board’s networking or drive layout is limiting. Four memory slots, Wi-Fi 6E and 2.5 Gb Ethernet are concrete reasons to compare it with the PRIME B660M-A D4. Treat the DDR4 suffix as part of the model identity when ordering.
Consider it when
- A compact LGA1700 rebuild with useful DDR4 and a need for onboard wireless.
Look again when
- You are moving to DDR5 or buying an LGA1851 CPU.
The checks that can change your choice
The second M.2 slot can disconnect a SATA port
M2_2 accepts NVMe or SATA, but a SATA M.2 drive disables SATA8. Both M.2 positions are listed for PCIe 4.0 NVMe. Count retained drives and check the exact CPU’s BIOS requirement before assuming an existing installation can move over unchanged.
Prove the complete platform
Find the exact processor in this board’s CPU support list and compare its required BIOS with the installed version. Then check the exact memory kit, occupied slots and front-panel connectors. A matching socket or a published maximum memory capacity is only part of that check.

Check the manufacturer CPU support list and installed BIOS version before buying. Matching socket and DDR generation do not prove CPU support, memory-profile stability, power-delivery suitability, or PCIe/M.2 lane availability.
