Fractal Design Meshify 2 Compact Black TG (FD-C-MES2C-03)
A smaller tower where the drive cage and front cooling decide the usable space.
The Meshify 2 Compact is worth considering when a full-size tower would waste room. Its 341 mm graphics-card allowance assumes a front fan, and a front radiator changes that space. The PSU decision also depends on whether you retain the drive cage, so settle the storage layout before buying the power supply.
Consider it when
- A compact ATX build with a clearly planned number of drives.
- An air cooler whose final installed height is within 169 mm.
Look again when
- A long GPU and front radiator selected independently.
- A 200 mm PSU assumed easy to install with the drive cage in place.
The checks that can change your choice
Keep cable space beside the drive cage
The current page lists a 200 mm PSU maximum, while the manual recommends at most 165 mm when retaining the cage. Treat these as different configurations and include modular plugs and cable bends in the check.
Roof and front mounts differ
The roof supports 120/240 mm radiators; the front supports larger sizes up to 360 mm. Moving a radiator to solve a roof conflict can create a GPU-length conflict, so recalculate the whole layout.
Published specifications
Compact mesh mid-tower; GPU clearance 341 mm with front fan; air cooler clearance 169 mm.
