ARCTIC Freezer 36 Black (ACFRE00123A)
A two-fan tower whose Intel contact-frame installation should be part of the buying decision.
The Freezer 36 Black is a useful shortlist entry when you want air cooling and can accommodate a 159 mm tower. Its Intel mounting method is a concrete difference from ordinary bracket-only installations. Read that procedure before purchasing, particularly if you are replacing a cooler in an already assembled system.
Consider it when
- AM4 or AM5 systems with a checked mounting area.
- Intel builders comfortable following ARCTIC’s model-specific contact-frame instructions.
Look again when
- A case rated for less than the final installed height.
- Older retail stock whose frame revision has not been checked for LGA1851.

The checks that can change your choice
Identify the frame revision
Earlier packages can need an updated LGA1851-compatible frame. A current compatibility list does not prove that a particular box contains it; match the included hardware with the manufacturer’s support instructions.
Allow room for both fans
Two fans require clearance on both sides of the tower. Check the rear motherboard heatsink and case exhaust position as well as the DIMMs, then route both PWM leads before finishing the case.
Published specifications
Tower air cooler; four heatpipes; two 120 mm PWM fans; 159 mm tall.
