AMD Ryzen 5 5600G

Keep an AM4 office or light-use build simple by omitting a dedicated graphics card.

The decision

The 5600G pairs six CPU cores with integrated graphics, making it a useful candidate for a modest DDR4 desktop. Compare the complete AM4 basket with the 5600GT and an 8600G AM5 build; platform reuse is often more important than a small difference in CPU naming.

Consider it when

  • A GPU-free work, study or media desktop with checked display requirements.
  • An existing compatible AM4 board and DDR4 kit being put back to useful work.

Look again when

  • A graphics-heavy gaming plan or a new platform purchase priced close to a more suitable AM5 system.

The checks that can change your choice

Motherboard display connections matter

Integrated graphics needs a suitable output on the motherboard. Match its ports, supported display mode and available cable to the monitor before assuming an adapter will solve everything.

Share memory deliberately

The integrated GPU uses system RAM. Allow capacity for your applications as well as graphics and install a matched kit in the recommended slots; this is not the same as adding dedicated VRAM.
