Kingston FURY Beast 16GB DDR5-5200 CL40
An entry DDR5 kit where the small capacity is the main compromise
FURY Beast KF552C40BBK2-16 is a 2 × 8 GB starting point for a DDR5 desktop. Its attraction is entering the platform with a modest capacity requirement, not maximizing the processor’s capabilities. If the computer will keep many applications open or grow into heavier work, compare a 32 GB kit now, especially when the motherboard has only two DIMM slots.
Consider it when
- A simple DDR5 computer whose expected applications fit within 16 GB.
Look again when
- The machine is intended for larger creative projects, VMs or memory-heavy multitasking.
THE SPACE IT NEEDS
Check the space under the cooler
- Memory module height
- 34.9mm
Compare the module height with the cooler’s documented RAM clearance. A raised cooler fan may also need more space below the case side panel.

The checks that can change your choice
This is an XMP kit, not a universal 5200 default
The exact code specifies DDR5-5200 CL40 with XMP 3.0 and a 34.9 mm body. Verify how the selected board supports that profile. Two 8 GB modules fill both slots on a Mini-ITX board, so later capacity growth may require replacing the kit rather than adding memory.
Validate the kit, then the profile
Use the exact kit code in the board’s memory support list and install the matched modules in its recommended slots. First establish a stable default boot, then enable the supported profile and test memory. Mixing separate kits is not equivalent to buying one validated larger kit.
