GIGABYTE M34WQ

A flat ultrawide for a wider workspace and games that actually support the aspect ratio.

The decision

M34WQ offers 3440 × 1440 across a 34-inch flat panel. It is worth considering for side-by-side applications or compatible games, provided the desk depth and width suit it. More horizontal pixels also change the GPU workload, so a performance expectation based on ordinary 2560 × 1440 should not be carried over unchanged.

Consider it when

  • A workflow that benefits from two windows across one screen.
  • A shared desktop setup with correctly connected KVM upstream paths.

Look again when

  • A limited-width desk or a preference for a curved screen.
  • Games or console use where unsupported ultrawide modes would be frustrating.

The checks that can change your choice

M34WQ is the flat model

Do not confuse it with the curved M34WQC. Confirm the full model name, stand footprint and viewing distance, then check the selected input’s timing table for the intended refresh rate.

Plan the whole switchable workstation

The KVM requires USB data connections as well as video. Verify laptop USB-C capabilities and cables independently; the presence of USB-C does not promise every charging or video feature found on other monitors.
