Kanto ORA

A compact USB-audio pair with a defined route for adding a powered subwoofer.

The decision

ORA is worth considering for a desk that wants direct USB-C audio and a compact two-speaker arrangement. Its USB connection handles audio, while the system still uses mains power and the supplied speaker link. Check the exact ORA rather than importing specifications from the larger ORA4.

Consider it when

  • A computer desk using USB audio, RCA or a compatible Bluetooth source.
  • A user planning a suitable powered subwoofer as a separate later purchase.

Look again when

  • A USB-powered-only installation.
  • A plan to attach arbitrary passive speakers to the RCA or subwoofer connections.

The checks that can change your choice

Keep the supplied four-pin speaker link

The main unit and second speaker need the specified connection, plus the external power arrangement. Bluetooth makes the source link wireless; it does not remove the cable between the speakers.

Understand the subwoofer crossover

The documented sub output engages an automatic 100 Hz crossover when used. Match a suitable powered subwoofer and plan its placement; the feature does not establish the final bass balance or replace adjustment in the room.

Published specifications

2.0 powered desktop speakers; USB-C audio / Bluetooth 5.0 / RCA; 3-inch woofers and 0.75-inch tweeters; subwoofer output.

ORA, not the larger ORA4. Requires mains power and the supplied 4-pin link between speakers; USB-C audio does not replace the power connection. RCA is a line-level input. A separate subwoofer can use the sub output with its automatic 100 Hz crossover.
