SAPPHIRE PULSE RX 9060 XT 16GB vs RX 9070 XT: fit and power change
Both PULSE Radeon cards have 16GB VRAM, but their length, thickness, power connections and PSU requirements differ. Check the exact boards before a swap.
Both exact PULSE cards provide 16 GB VRAM. Moving to the 9070 XT is therefore not a VRAM-capacity upgrade. It changes the graphics processor and the installation: 80 mm more board length, a thicker cooler and a second 8-pin connection. Establish a workload reason for the GPU change, then check the space and power it needs.
Choose around your situation
Consider the PULSE 9060 XT when it meets your workload and fit limits
The 240 mm board and one 8-pin input can simplify a constrained installation. That does not establish a frame-rate target or quiet operation; look for tests of the card and games you intend to use.
Consider the PULSE 9070 XT when performance evidence justifies the installation changes
Treat the 320 mm length, three-slot cooler and two power inputs as requirements to resolve first. Neither the 9070 XT name nor its 16 GB label guarantees a chosen 4K preset or local AI software support.

Capacity alone does not establish frame rate, AI speed or software support.

|---|---|---|---|
| Exact SAPPHIRE SKU | 11350-03-20G | 11348-03-20G | These dimensions and connectors apply to these PULSE models, not every board using the same GPU. |
| Video memory | 16 GB GDDR6 · 128-bit bus | 16 GB GDDR6 · 256-bit bus | Capacity stays the same. The wider bus and different processor do not translate into a fixed frame-rate multiplier. |
| Board dimensions | 240 × 111.25 × 46.08 mm | 320 × 120.25 × 61.6 mm | Check length, side-panel cable room and the space below the slot. A front radiator may reduce available length. |
| Published slot size | 2.3 slots | 3 slots | Check adjacent expansion cards and intake clearance rather than rounding either cooler down. |
| Typical board power | 170 W | 304 W | These are manufacturer board-power figures, not whole-PC measurements. |
| Power inputs / stated minimum PSU | 1 × 8-pin · 450 W minimum | 2 × 8-pin · 750 W minimum | Confirm the PSU model, approved cables and total system requirements. Wattage alone does not prove suitability. |
Worked fit check: 300 mm of usable GPU length
Imagine measuring 300 mm of unobstructed length with the intended front fans or radiator already accounted for. This is an illustrative clearance calculation, not a measurement of a named case.
For the 240 mm PULSE 9060 XT, 300 − 240 leaves 60 mm in this length check. You still need to check its thickness, power-plug path and installation access.
The 320 mm PULSE 9070 XT exceeds that available length by 20 mm. A connector adapter will not fix that physical mismatch; reconsider the case layout or choose a board that fits.
If a different layout provides enough space, repeat the power and airflow checks. Do not remove required cooling or strain cables simply to make the length number pass.
When to keep what you have
Keep the current card if it already meets your target. If the problem is that a project needs more than 16 GB of dedicated VRAM, this particular swap does not add capacity. Investigate software support and a genuinely larger-memory option instead of assuming a higher model number solves it.
Checks still to make
- Installed case clearance with front fans, radiator and drive cages in their intended positions.
- Room for the card thickness, support bracket and power cables without forced bends.
- PSU model and manufacturer-approved PCIe cables for the required connectors.
- Game tests at the same resolution and preset, or exact application/backend support for a work task.
