Processor · MODEL NOTES

Intel Core i3-14100F

A four-core LGA1700 option for a deliberately modest build with separate graphics.

The decision

The 14100F belongs in a tightly budgeted configuration with limited parallel CPU demands. Compare the complete offer with the six-core 12400F and ten-core 14400F; paying a little more for the right workload can be more useful than buying the newer generation label.

Consider it when

  • A simple desktop with an existing discrete GPU and a compatible DDR4 motherboard.
  • Light gaming or everyday use where application requirements have been checked.

Look again when

  • Regular heavy multitasking, large compilation jobs or other work that already saturates a four-core CPU.

The checks that can change your choice

Four cores and a required GPU

This model has four cores and eight threads, with no integrated graphics. Include a working graphics card for first boot; the motherboard’s video sockets will not substitute for one.

An older LGA1700 board may need an update

Check the 14100F support row and firmware installation procedure. The board also determines whether the system uses DDR4 or DDR5, so match its exact model suffix to the memory kit.

Published specifications

4 cores / 8 threads; boost up to 4.7 GHz; LGA1700; DDR4/DDR5; 110 W maximum turbo power; discrete graphics required.
