LG UltraGear 27GS75Q-B

A QHD gaming display with a 180 Hz native mode and an optional DisplayPort overclock.

The decision

The 27GS75Q-B belongs on a 1440p shortlist when its resolution, stand and available inputs fit the desk. Separate the native 180 Hz specification from the 200 Hz overclock. A move from an existing 165 Hz monitor should be justified by the whole experience, not merely the larger number on the box.

Consider it when

  • A QHD PC build using a compatible DisplayPort connection.
  • A desk setup needing height adjustment, tilt or pivot.

Look again when

  • Expecting every input to offer 200 Hz.
  • A headset microphone intended to connect through the monitor’s headphone output.

The checks that can change your choice

The overclock is an input-specific mode

The verified information gives 200 Hz overclock through DisplayPort. Check the selected input’s timing table and stability, and use the native rate if the faster mode does not behave reliably with your setup.

The audio jack is output only

Its three-pole headphone socket carries audio, not a headset microphone return. Connect a microphone to the PC or a suitable audio interface instead of expecting a four-pole headset to send voice through the display.
