Creative Stage Air V2 (MF8395)

A small battery-equipped soundbar for the space beneath a monitor.

The decision

Stage Air V2 is a useful alternative to two separate desktop speakers when the monitor leaves a wide, low opening. Its 410 mm width and supported audio inputs matter more than the soundbar name. This is the compact Air V2, not the larger Stage V2 with a different connection set.

Consider it when

  • A desk with a clear under-monitor position and suitable USB, AUX or Bluetooth audio.
  • A user who sometimes wants playback away from a power cable.

Look again when

  • A television setup requiring HDMI ARC or optical audio.
  • Assuming battery runtime is fixed regardless of volume and usage.

The checks that can change your choice

USB-C supports audio and charging

Use a suitable connection for USB audio and the documented 5 V/2 A charging requirement. Check the computer’s selected playback device after connecting, rather than assuming a charging indication proves that audio is routed correctly.

Check the stand and screen clearance

Measure the available space around the monitor base and keep the speaker unobstructed. Its input list does not include HDMI ARC or optical, so a TV must provide one of the documented compatible outputs.

Stage Air V2, not Stage V2. USB-C supports audio and 5 V / 2 A charging. Its documented audio inputs do not include HDMI ARC or optical; a TV or PC must use one of the supported inputs. Battery runtime depends on volume and use.
