HyperX Cloud III (wired)
A wired headset with both analog and supplied USB routes for headphones and microphone.
Cloud III wired is useful when you want one purchase to cover listening and voice chat without charging. Choose the connection according to the computer: the supplied USB path can avoid the separate headphone/microphone-jack problem, while analog needs the correct headset socket. Keep it distinct from Cloud III Wireless and S Wireless.
Consider it when
- A fixed PC desk where a cable is acceptable.
- A user needing the detachable microphone and supplied USB connection.
Look again when
- A requirement for wireless listening.
- A desktop with separate audio jacks used without a suitable splitter or USB route.
The checks that can change your choice
Analog voice needs a CTIA headset connection
A compatible four-pole 3.5 mm socket carries both headphone audio and microphone. Separate PC headphone and mic sockets require the appropriate splitter; plugging into only the headphone output will not complete the microphone path.
Select both devices in software
After connecting through the included USB dongle and adapter, select the intended playback and recording devices in the operating system and voice app. Test microphone position and mute status before relying on it for a call.
Published specifications
