Razer BlackShark V2 Pro (2023, PC)

The 2023 PC wireless model, with USB-C charging kept distinct from the audio connection.

The decision

BlackShark V2 Pro 2023 is a candidate when you want a detachable boom microphone and a choice between its USB wireless dongle and Bluetooth. Choose the exact RZ04-0453 PC model. Earlier and console editions should not determine your expectations for connections or features.

Consider it when

  • A PC with an available USB-A port for the wireless dongle.
  • A user who wants to switch to a supported Bluetooth device when appropriate.

Look again when

  • Expecting the supplied USB charging cable to be a wired audio connection.
  • A requirement for simultaneous mixing rather than SmartSwitch source changes.

The checks that can change your choice

Charging and playback are different jobs

The documented USB-C cable is supplied for charging. Plan audio through the USB-A wireless dongle or Bluetooth rather than assuming that attaching the charge cable makes the headset a USB sound device.

Verify the active mode and microphone

SmartSwitch changes audio sources. Check the selected mode, output and recording device after switching, and test the detachable microphone’s seating and mute control before a call or game session.

Published specifications

2.4 GHz USB-A or Bluetooth 5.2; detachable boom microphone; 50 mm drivers; USB-C charging.
